Alexandra Hong was raised in the city of Los Angeles. With a background in union organizing, social work, and activism, Alexandra has had the privilege to work and learn from a wide spectrum of communities struggling for social change. After earning her B.A. in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz, Alexei went on to travel the United States, parts of Europe, Brazil, and Mexico. She has lived in Pittsburgh, PA, where she worked on the issues around incarceration, and Brooklyn, NY, conducting street outreach to people experiencing homelessness. She came back to her hometown and worked with the Los Angeles Chapter of Food Not Bombs, fighting against hunger in Downtown Los Angeles. She went on to earn her J.D. in Southwestern’s accelerated SCALE program. After representing tenants through the Eviction Defense Network, Inner City Law Center, and BASTA, Alexandra looks forward to using her trial advocacy and negotiation skills to enforce the rights of her clients at her position in the Legal Fund. Alexandra is a proud member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.
