Inside Edition Interviews Shibani Balsaver, Sheilanee Sen And HSRD Attorney Brian Olney About LAPD’s Violent Treatment, Wrongful Accusation Of U-Haul Theft

The two young women of South Asian descent are still traumatized over the violent arrest on February 8, 202o, when officers mistakenly accused them of vehicle theft. Both were terrified. Balsaver said, “I thought genuinely that I was going to get shot!”

Attorney Brian Olney alleged potential racial profiling and asserted, “What the video shows is a police response that is absolutely outrageous.”

They filed a lawsuit in federal court against the LAPD on March 16, 2021.
