Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai named partner Randy Renick and partner Brian Olney have been named by the Daily Journal to the 2025 list of “Top Labor & Employment Lawyers.” The annual list honors the top labor and employment attorneys in California.
Randy’s profile highlights his $233 million wage and hour settlement with The Walt Disney Company on behalf of 50,000 resort and theme park employees to resolve violations of Anaheim’s living wage ordinance. The settlement is the largest wage and hour resolution in California history. The Daily Journal also recognizes Randy’s work helping to establish that wage and hour claims can be litigated successfully on a class basis following more than a decade of litigation in Wang v. Chinese Daily News Inc., a case that included a jury and bench trial plus two trips to the Ninth Circuit and one trip to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Daily Journal’s profile of Brian highlights his successful litigation against CalPERS reversing an illegal 2017 policy change to restore lost pension benefits to current and future retirees throughout California. The case is now the subject of a pending appeal.
