Cathi Choi

Attorney

Cathi Choi joined Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai LLP in September 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Cathi clerked for the Honorable Denny Chin of the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel for the Southern District of California.

After graduating law school, she joined a law firm in New York where she worked on complex civil and intellectual property litigation. In pro bono matters, she represented over 300 individuals in a class action seeking sealing of convictions for marijuana possession, in conjunction with nonprofit, public defender, and district attorney offices. She also represented clients in immigration matters.

While in law school, Cathi completed an internship at the New York Civil Liberties Union and served as a student attorney at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau where she represented clients in English and Spanish on family, immigration, and wage and hour matters, and conducted trial proceedings as first-chair counsel. As the Political Chair for the Harvard Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Cathi advocated for the law school’s first Asian American legal history course and organized monthly reading groups and speaker panels on racial justice and legal history. Additionally, she served as an Article Editor for the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review.

In 2015, Cathi completed the dual degree master’s program in International and World History at Columbia University and the London School of Economics. She received a BA in History and Art History from Columbia University in 2013.
